The pre-consular procedure is done entirely online via the platform Studying in France. The student must first register on the platform to apply for a visa. On the site, the candidate must create a file by filling in his personal information and then click on the “I am accepted” tab to create his file.

Here's how to create your online file for the pre-consular procedure

Step 1 : The student's institution must send an email to Campus France in their country by copying it with the scan of the pre-registration certificate as an attachment.
The pre-registration certificate must contain the following information:

    • The type of training (initial, work-study, continuing)
    • The RNCP training code
    • The RNE/UAI number of the establishment
    • Back to school date
    • The authorized arrival deadline

Step 2 : The student must create an educational file consisting of his personal information, his background and diplomas and his language skills. He then indicates his plan to study in France as well as information on the establishment where he is expected in France. Finally, he must scan all the supporting documents requested.

Step 3 : The candidate pays the application fees and submits the application online to Campus France

Step 4 : Campus France checks the file submitted by the student and invites him to submit the physical file if the online file is complete.

Campus France receives the student for an interview after the validation of his file. With this, the student then begins the consular procedure which concerns the visa application procedures. We invite you to read our article on the documents you need to provide to apply for a visa
