For an international student just starting to navigate Belgian administrative procedures, this is an app you should know about.
itsme has become a widely used solution in Belgium for online identification.
It allows you to log in to various public services, platforms, and private services, as well as confirm certain transactions.
It can be used to access services such as MyMinfin, among others.
Please note: depending on your situation, activating itsme may be subject to certain conditions. A newly arrived student may not necessarily be able to use it immediately.
If you are studying in Belgium, you will likely use the train at some point.
The SNCB app allows you to plan your journeys and purchase your tickets, among other things.
This is particularly useful if you live in one city and study in another.
Brussels, Louvain-la-Neuve, Liège, Mons, Namur, Ghent, Antwerp… the rail network connects many university cities.

None of these apps are mandatory for all international students. However, depending on your situation, some can quickly become essential for your daily life.
