Many of you ask yourself a lot of questions about the Visa, and just thinking about it makes you stressed out. It is therefore strongly recommended to find out about Reasons for refusing a Student Visa even before you start compiling your file.
Reasons for refusing a visa are 7 in total, namely:
Reason 1: “The travel document presented is false/falsified.”
Today, focus on patterns 2 and 5. At first glance, we can implicitly think of everything that could justify a first year of studies in France: financial resources, housing, insurance... the interpretation of this pattern remains quite broad. However, according to various feedback, this reason largely concerns accommodation conditions.
To justify your accommodation conditions at the consulate, you have two options: we classify them by degree of reliability.
This is the safest and most reliable option for you and for the consulate: on the one hand, you have a real student housing who awaits you in France, and on the other hand, the French consulate receives an official document co-signed by a French lessor and yourself justifying your accommodation conditions in France.
It is not an easy task! With the exception of CROUS residences and a few student residences, it is very difficult to sign your lease remotely.
For more than a year, a hundred students have benefited from the support of Studely in their search for accommodation in France.
You have two options:
The great thing about this service is that it pays for the result (you only pay when you get your accommodation). Consult for more information.
The lease will serve as proof of accommodation at the consulate and above all, you will leave for France with peace of mind without the anxiety of looking for accommodation there. You will have other things to manage.
The reception certificate must be drawn up in a French town hall for a maximum period of 90 days. Only a person who lives and works in France can issue it.
This option is subject to other conditions. The person who certifies to host you must be located within a maximum radius of 30 km from your university. It must also have accommodation worthy of accommodating an additional person.
Having a reception certificate can help you out, but it does not solve your housing problem (unless you really want to live with one of your loved ones).
Without going through the town hall, it is possible to ask one of your loved ones to prepare an accommodation certificate for you (certificate on honour). This certificate must be accompanied by proof of accommodation and an identity document of the person who is hosting you.
NB: Please note that if you have obtained an accommodation certificate from a relative in France, the amount of the bank deposit may be halved in some countries (such as Maghreb countries).
You can justify your accommodation conditions using one or more hotel reservations for a minimum of 3 months from the expected date of your arrival in France.
In addition to not being safe, this option sometimes requires you to pay 30% of the price of the hotel reservation over a period of 3 months in some countries such as Algeria.
