The main dates you need to know if you want to join the 2023-2024 academic year in France:

1. Calendar of the DAP procedure (Prior Admission Request)

The DAP concerns all foreign students who wish to enroll in a first year of a Bachelor's degree at the University or in an architecture school. This in universities and schools connected to the Études en France platform. This procedure is essential for non-European foreign students who did not obtain the baccalaureate in an AEFE French high school.

The dates you need to know:

  • Start of registration: From October 1, 2023
  • End of registration: Until December 15, 2023
  • Submission and payment: Until December 15, 2023
  • Interviews: Until March 15, 2024
  • Response from institutions: Until April 30, 2024 (To be checked on your Campus France personal space)
  • Follow-up of applications: Until May 31, 2024

2. Timeline of the extra-DAP procedure

It includes all other courses and therefore concerns admission to Bachelor 2 and 3, Bachelor Pro, Master, engineering schools, DUT, IUT in universities and schools connected to the Études en France platform. You have 7 possible choices of universities. For example, you can choose: 3 License 3 and 4 Master 1 or 7 Master 1.

Start of registration: From October 1, 2023

  • End of registration: Until December 23, 2023
  • Submission and payment: Until December 23, 2023
  • Interviews: Until March 15, 2024

  • 3.Calendar of the Parcoursup procedure

    The Parcoursup procedure starts in January and concerns French high school students, future holders of the French baccalaureate, candidates wishing to integrate a BTS, a preparatory class (CPGE) or a DCG.

    The dates you need to know:
    Start of registration: From January 2024

  • End of registration: From May to July 2024
  • Submission and payment: May to July 2024
  • Interviews: From May 2024 and at least 30 days before the start of school indicated by the establishment
  • Response from the establishments: To be checked on your Parcoursup personal space
  • Follow-up of applications: To be checked on your Parcoursup personal space
  • 4. Pre-consular procedure calendar

    This procedure concerns students who wish to continue their studies in institutions not connected to the “Études en France” platform.

    Pre-consular procedure steps and timetable:
    I fill out a preconsular file if I am accepted into a course

  • As soon as I receive the registration certificate, I create my file on the “Études en France” platform
  • I must finalize my application on the “Études en France” platform to apply for a long-stay VISA for studies
  • Deadline for submitting online applications October 31, 2024 and at least 30 days before the start date indicated by the institution.
  • Interviews must be completed at least 30 days before the start of school
