The real missions of Campus France

Campus France is under a double supervision, that of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. His actions are in perfect agreement with several higher teachings.

Campus France's role is to:

1. Promoting French higher education

Campus France is in partnership with France Universities, the CGE (Conference of Grandes Écoles) and the CDEFI (Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools).

The institution provides foreign students and researchers with tools so that they can be on the lookout for all the necessary information on French institutions.

Campus France also supports French institutions and organizations in their international expansion strategy.

2. Implement scholarship and mobility programs

Campus France's mission is to promote the mobility of foreign students and researchers to France. In this context, the agency manages various scholarship programs, from the publication of calls for applications to the reception of beneficiaries in France.

3. Welcoming students and student researchers in France

Campus France offers foreign students and researchers essential information to prepare for their stay and settle in France. In addition, the organization is committed to ensuring quality reception by working with higher education institutions and local authorities to improve reception and integration arrangements.

4. Facilitating the mobility of French students

Campus France plays a crucial role in offering its support and expertise to French students who wish to continue their studies abroad, in particular by promoting the Erasmus program in France. The agency encourages French higher education institutions to establish partnerships with European institutions, thus allowing students to benefit from funding to study in other European countries.

In addition, Campus France manages various scholarship programs for French students, such as the FLE program, the program for Arabian students and the admission program to the College of Europe. The agency also publishes numerous studies on the mobility of French students abroad to help them choose their destination.

5. Animating the network of French higher education alumni

Since 2014, Campus France has been managing the France Alumni platform in more than 120 countries. This site allows former foreign students and researchers who have completed higher education in France to maintain links with the country, to communicate with each other and to access numerous internship and job opportunities.

France Alumni facilitates interactions between these former students and researchers and the professional sector. Currently, the network has 365,000 members worldwide.

6. Improving the attractiveness of French higher education

During the Research and Innovation Meetings held in Paris in July 2017, Campus France delivered a joint letter to Ms. Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

This letter was written in collaboration with France Universities, the Conference of Engineering Schools and Training (CDEFI) and the Conference of Grandes Écoles (CGE). It focused on the measures necessary to strengthen the attractiveness of French higher education institutions.

To succeed in supporting students, researchers, as well as French institutions and organizations, Campus France has staff and spaces ready to fulfill its mission.
